Interesting selection of food, although I felt it had been "de-spiced" for the Italian palate. I visited a Lebanese restaurant in London recently, and the "warm bread" appetiser was served with an array of spices and dips. But at Davali, when the mixed plate started was delivered to my table, I had to ask for some sauce, and all I got was a small jug of fairly bland yogurty milk. The main dish of chicken looked good, as did the beef filled Arabic bread, but again, there was no sauce to liven it up. The beef bread for sure needed something - I resorted to squeezing the very thinly sliced lemon garnish to give it a bit of moisture. As I departed, the restaurant was almost full - on a Wednesday night, in a residential suburb, I was impressed. The back page of the menu is decorated with photos of Italian celebrities who had visited the restaurant. I'd say that this restaurant has a lot of potential, but the food needs to be "jazzed up" a but with some nice sauces.
